Health Insurance providers: I am contracted to several Health Insurance Providers, such as Aviva, BUPA, Axa and Vitality.
You are required to pay for the costs of any treatment on the day of your appointment. I accept cash and all major credit cards (excluding AMEX). In terms of online appointments, I accept EFT payments on the day of the appointment.
Private medical Insurance Billing
I can invoice pre-authorised treatment costs directly to AXA, BUPA, Vitality and Aviva on behalf of Clients. However, to do so, I require the following:
- Name of your health insurer
- Your membership number
- A valid pre-authorisation number from your insurer 48 hours before our first session. Should you not have the pre-authorisation number before our first session, we can re-schedule the session, or you can pay and seek reimbursement from the insurer directly on the issue of a receipt from my practice.
Please ensure you discuss the following with your Health Insurer:
- The number of sessions the insurer will cover
- What your insurer covers cost-wise for each session. Any treatment costs incurred and not covered by your health insurer will be at your expense.
Lateness & Cancellation Policy:
My practice runs on schedule; therefore, if you are late for a session, please expect the session to finish at the scheduled time.
24 hour notice is required for cancellation of appointments; otherwise, the full session fee will be charged, and the same applies to “no-show” appointments. This is consistent with sound business practices around the world.
Psychology practices are not run on a waiting-room system. As such, when clients do not honour appointments made, there is almost no possibility that the time can be re-booked for that day, and the practitioner will be unable to cover operating costs. Additionally, as there is a high demand for services, your time is reserved exclusively for you and, therefore, is unavailable to others. If you cannot keep your appointment, I will do my best to reschedule the appointment.
Holidays and Breaks:
I attempt to provide good notice of upcoming holidays and breaks and would appreciate it if you could provide me with notice as to when you will be away.
