Bianca Hansen-Hamburger
As a psychologist, I understand how difficult it can be to decide to seek therapy. Complicated feelings often accompany this decision. My aim is to offer a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space where you are able to speak openly about your thoughts and feelings. With a decade of experience across various settings—including the NHS, private hospitals and clinics, private practice and NGOs—I strive to build a therapeutic relationship based on respect, confidentiality, and ethical practice.
Therapy is a journey of making sense of our thoughts and behaviours. By talking through your experiences, we can gain a clearer perspective and work towards addressing what isn’t working or you are having difficulty resolving. Through our work together, we will explore new ways of understanding and seeing and move towards emotional wellbeing.
Everyone has unique strengths and abilities. By drawing on these, we can build towards a healthier, more meaningful life. My role is to support and guide you through this process.
Much of my career has been spent working with individuals who have experienced extensive trauma, suffer with anxiety, phobias, depression, bipolar, relationship difficulties, self-harm, sexual abuse or assault, fertility struggles, complicated family dynamics, marginalised communities, and substance dependence and abuse . Using evidence-based approaches I work to support young people and adults to resolve difficulties they are encountering.
I also work with severe cases of mentally based school non-attendance (EBSNA); however, I am only able to see these children and adolescents during my operating hours.
I welcome clients of all cultures, races, religions, and sexual and gender orientations. My commitment is to provide a supportive and comfortable environment where you can feel heard and valued. Together, we will work towards your well-being.
